Alien: Covenant delivers strong worldbuilding and solid narration, but its characters, pacing, and overall story land in the middle. It is a better fit for committed Alien fans than newcomers.
Alien: Covenant Origins offers stronger franchise worldbuilding than story momentum. Tom Taylorson’s solid narration helps, but this is best for Alien completionists rather than listeners chasing xenomorph action.
Thrawn: Treason closes the trilogy with a strong mix of Imperial politics, tactical problem-solving, and another excellent Marc Thompson performance. It is a solid four-star story wrapped in five-star audiobook production.
Thrawn: Alliances is a strong Star Wars sequel built around the uneasy pairing of Thrawn and Darth Vader. The story earns a solid recommendation, while Marc Thompson’s narration and the polished production are the real standouts.
Thrawn delivers a great story, memorable characters, and an outstanding Marc Thompson performance. For me, this one is absolutely worth an Audible credit.
